Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon has urged fans and journalists to stop comparing the performances of Thiago Motta and Massimiliano Allegri.
Motta took over as Juventus manager this season after leading Bologna to a great performance last season, winning a ticket to the UEFA Champions League this season. With his new team, they have played 17 league games without losing, but have drawn 10 of them สมัคร ufabet.
However, despite being on a good path, Motta has been compared to Allegri by some in the media and fans, something Buffon doesn’t want to see happening.
“Enough with the comparisons between Motta and Allegri, it’s too much – one who has won many titles, Motta is just starting out. Anyone who compares them has the desire to topple the club,” Buffon said.
“I have a lot of respect for Thiago and I have full confidence in his team-building. When you change things so deeply, it takes time. Motta is a meticulous and well-prepared person, used to a certain level as a coach.”
Buffon: ‘Enough with the Motta and Allegri comparisons’
Though Juventus remain unbeaten in Serie A under Thiago Motta, Buffon is not enjoying the comparisons between him and his predecessor, Allegri, as they are two coaches at completely different stages of their careers.
“Enough with the comparisons between Motta and Allegri, it’s out of line. One has won a lot, Thiago is just starting out. Anyone who compares them is driven by a desire to upset the club,” Buffon said.
He continued: “I have great respect for Thiago, and I’m very confident about what he’s building. When you change things so deeply, it takes time. Motta is meticulous and well-prepared, accustomed to certain levels as a coach.”
